E-clip retaining ring (E-ring, retaining washer, Sicherungsscheibe) according to DIN 6799, Cirteq RA series (D1500). It is fitted onto the shaft radially – from the side into the groove, without pliers and without access from the shaft end. It grips the groove with three projections. It is used in the automotive industry, instrument and electrical engineering and light mechanical engineering.

Cirteq is a British manufacturer of retaining rings and technical springs with TS 16949 quality certification (Cirteq Technical Manual catalogue, series RA (DIN 6799 / D1500)).

Technical data: material spring steel C67S / C75S (EN 10132), surface phosphated and oiled. On request stainless steel 1.4122, precipitation hardened stainless steel PH 15-7 or phosphor bronze, or mechanical zinc plating. The ring size is given by the groove diameter d2. Dimensions according to the table in the picture: shaft diameter range d1 (from – to), thickness s, outer diameter d4, dimension a, installation space C2, groove d2, groove width m, distance n, load capacity FN and FR (kN), FRg and limiting speed ndet. Equivalent to Seeger RA, Rotorclip DE.

Variant dimensions: groove d2 1.2 to 24 mm, thickness 0.3 to 2 mm. The variant name contains the size (groove diameter), the Cirteq catalogue designation, the shaft diameter range and the thickness.
