Product detailed description
Constant (uniform) section retaining ring for shafts – snap ring, in German Sprengring – Cirteq SW series (M2400). Unlike a standard DIN 471 circlip it has no lugs and its cross-section is the same around the whole circumference, so it has a low radial height. It is suitable where there is little space around the ring, for axial retention of bearings, bushings, wheels and other parts on a grooved shaft.
Cirteq is a British manufacturer of retaining rings and technical springs with TS 16949 quality certification (Cirteq Technical Manual catalogue, series SW (M2400)).
Technical data: material spring steel C67S / C75S (EN 10132), smaller diameters made of patented drawn wire (EN 10270-1), surface phosphated and oiled. Stainless steel 1.4310 or phosphor bronze on request. Dimensions according to the table in the picture: thickness s, section height b, inner diameter of the free ring d3, groove diameter d2 with tolerance, groove width m, groove load capacity FN and ring load capacity FR (kN) and limiting speed ndet. Equivalent to Seeger SW.
Variant dimensions: shaft diameter d1 4 to 460 mm, ring thickness 0.5 to 4.5 mm. The variant name contains the Cirteq catalogue designation, shaft diameter x ring thickness and groove diameter d2.
