Product detailed description

Skived PTFE film is peeled with a knife from a solid PTFE billet and then passed over heated rollers to relieve internal stresses. Supplied up to 1200 mm wide and 6 mm thick, size according to enquiry (unit piece = order).

KLINGER Kempchen (Oberhausen, Germany) is a manufacturer of industrial gaskets, packings and expansion joints of the KLINGER Group (KLINGER Kempchen catalogue).

Applications: foil bearings, all types of gaskets (including PTFE envelope gaskets), linings of structural parts, chutes and vessels, expansion joints and bellows, insulation in electrical engineering.

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene): temperature −190 to +250 °C, briefly +300 °C, resistant to almost all chemicals (except chlorine trifluoride, elemental fluorine and molten alkali metals), does not swell in solvents, non-stick, non-flammable, non-absorbent, low coefficient of friction, high insulation resistance.
