PTFE encapsulated O-rings combine the chemical resistance and low friction of PTFE with the elasticity of an elastomer O-ring. The elastomer O-ring is covered with a 0.4 mm thick PTFE envelope, butt-jointed (inside, outside, face) or overlapped (bottom, outside, top). The joint / overlap is placed on the side facing away from the pressure.
