O-ring according to ISO 3601, material NBR 70, by inner diameter, from 50 mm to 74.8 mm
Code: KAT_ISO3601NBR7ID4_000400Product detailed description
An O-ring is a closed ring with a circular cross-section, made predominantly of an elastic rubber material, a so-called elastomer. The size of an O-ring is defined by its inner diameter (d1) and its cross-section (d2). The sealing effect of an O-ring placed in a suitable groove is achieved during installation, when compression elastically deforms the circular cross-section (d2) into an elliptical profile. The compressed ring seals the gap between the mating parts or surfaces and the groove bottom.
Acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)
NBR rubber is the most commonly used material for O-rings. O-rings made of this material are resistant to oils (especially hydraulic oils), greases, petrol and other aliphatic hydrocarbons, as well as dilute acids and alkalis. They have excellent physical properties such as mechanical strength and high abrasion resistance, and a good permissible temperature range (-25 °C to +120 °C, special compounds down to -45 °C). NBR with a hardness of 70 Shore A is the most commonly used material for O-rings.
