O-ring according to ISO 3601, material MVQ 70 red, by cross-section, cross-section up to 1.85 mm
Code: KAT_ISO3601MVQCROSS1_000300Product detailed description
An O-ring is a closed ring with a circular cross-section, made predominantly of an elastic rubber material, a so-called elastomer. The size of an O-ring is defined by its inner diameter (d1) and its cross-section (d2). The sealing effect of an O-ring placed in a suitable groove is achieved during installation, when compression elastically deforms the circular cross-section (d2) into an elliptical profile. The compressed ring seals the gap between the mating parts or surfaces and the groove bottom.
Silicone rubber (MVQ, VMQ, SI)
MVQ O-rings are used mainly in applications requiring a wide temperature range (-55 °C to +200 °C), but they cannot be used for sealing hot water or steam. Their oil resistance is comparable to NBR, but their mechanical properties are inferior to NBR.
