The BP back-up ring (support ring) is the end element of a TENAX V-packing set made of fabric-reinforced rubber. It has a flat back and a groove into which the last V-ring fits, it supports the set and prevents the V-rings from extruding into the gap. It is used in sets for sealing piston rods, plungers and pistons of hydraulic cylinders, presses and pumps. The set consists of a TR pressure ring, one or more V-rings and a BP back-up ring (support ring). The number of V-rings is chosen according to the pressure and the height of the housing, the set can be retightened during operation and worn rings can be replaced individually.

Technical parameters: TG series V-packing sets: pressure up to 600 bar, speed up to 0.5 m/s. Material: TENAX – cotton fabric with NBR 75 Shore A (max. +120 °C, mineral oils, emulsions, HFA/HFB/HFC fluids).
