The DRPU U-cup seal according to CSN 02 9269 is a symmetrical polyurethane hydraulic seal that can be used to seal both the piston and the rod. The sealing function in the pressureless state is ensured by the radial preload of the seal (compression of the lips after fitting into the groove), during operation the pressure of the working fluid presses the lips against the sealing surface. Polyurethane has high mechanical strength and wear resistance.
Technical parameters: material polyurethane AU 90 (90 Shore A), pressure load max. 16 MPa, temperature range −30 °C to +80 °C, radial clearance max. 0.20 mm. Media: mineral hydraulic oils, lubricating greases. Polyurethane is not resistant to steam, acids and alkalis.
Size: inner diameter d 60 mm, outer diameter D 80 mm, seal height h 13 mm. Piston or rod guided with fit H8/e8 (H9/f8), groove root diameter within tolerance H11 (h11).
Installation: clean the installation space, lightly lubricate the U-cup seal, do not pull it over sharp edges and threads (rounded transitions and lead-in chamfers), roughness of moving surfaces max. Ra 0.4 µm.
