The universal U-cup seal E07 is a single-acting seal with symmetrical lips, usable for sealing both the piston and the rod. It is suitable for split and solid pistons and is installed in a closed groove. The lip preload ensures good sealing even at low pressure and compensates for slight rod misalignment. Dimensionally and functionally it corresponds to the universal U-cup seal type K21.

Technical parameters (NBR): material nitrile rubber NBR 85–90 Shore A, pressure up to 150 bar, speed up to 0.5 m/s, temperature −30 °C to +100 °C. Compatible with mineral oils, bio oils, water-based fluids and water-glycol. Recommended roughness: static surfaces Ra 1.6 µm, dynamic Ra 0.4 µm. Max. extrusion gap: 0.30 mm at 50 bar, 0.20 mm at 100 bar, 0.15 mm at 150 bar.

Application: light and medium-duty hydraulic cylinders, including double-acting cylinders, as a rod seal it can be combined with a type S15 seal for heavy duty. For higher pressures (up to 400 bar) and 3× longer service life a polyurethane version PU 92 Shore A is available.

Installation space: inner diameter d 57 mm (rod f8, piston h9), outer diameter D 63 mm (H10), seal height H 8 mm, groove width L 9.0 mm (+0,2) (for dimension series E07 L = H + 1 mm applies). Groove bottom radius r ≤ 0.4 mm, lead-in chamfer 20°.
