Split rotary shaft seal Carcoseal /UN in SPLIT design for large shaft diameters. The split design can be installed without dismantling the shaft, which significantly reduces maintenance costs.
The robust fabric-reinforced outer part (without metal reinforcement) is compressed in the housing during installation – it is retained axially by a retaining plate (flange). The flexible sealing lip is made of an NBR compound with modified PTFE additive and a thin PTFE layer (Carcoflon) on the contact surface, preloaded by an AISI 302 stainless steel spring.
Material S820 (NBR + PTFE): pressure up to 0.5 bar, continuous temperature -20 to +100 °C (short-term -30 to +120 °C), surface speed max. 15 m/s. For oils, greases, water and other fluids. The shaft must not run dry.
