S59 is a robust single-acting rod V-packing set (Vee Pack) made of fabric-reinforced rubber. It consists of a bottom seal (support ring) that protects the V-rings against extrusion, intermediate V-rings that form the actual sealing element, and a pressure ring that holds the V-ring profile and distributes the pressure evenly. It withstands low and high pressure, harsh conditions as well as misalignment and surface irregularities, and in many cases the set can be supplied split for easy installation.

Application: Medium to heavy-duty single-acting cylinders. This version (1+4+1) has 4 middle V-rings, the set height can be adjusted by the number of middle rings (standard S59 = 1+3+1, S60 = 1+5+1).

Technical parameters: fabric-reinforced NBR 75/80 Shore A, pressure up to 400 bar, temperature −20 °C to +100 °C, speed up to 0.5 m/s. Media: mineral oils, bio oils, water-based fluids and water-glycol. Roughness: static surfaces Ra 1.6 µm, dynamic Ra 0.4 µm. Tolerance: d h9, D H9.
