The double-acting piston seal K518 is a piston seal consisting of one NBR profile ring, two thermoplastic elastomer back-up rings and two glass-reinforced POM guide rings. K518 is widely preferred in mobile machinery, where the glass-reinforced POM guide rings provide better load-bearing properties in cylinders with longer strokes.

The double-acting piston seal K518X is a high-performance compact piston seal consisting of one NBR profile ring, two thermoplastic elastomer support rings and two glass-reinforced PA guide rings. Among similar double-acting piston seals, K518X introduces a new design of TPE back-up rings with special geometry that increases extrusion resistance under the variable pressures of mobile hydraulic applications, and glass-fibre-reinforced PA guide rings that provide higher load capacity at higher temperatures.
