USIT rings (bonded seals) are used for static sealing of screw fittings and flange joints. They consist of an outer metal ring with a trapezoidal rubber lip vulcanized on the inside. This shape allows relatively large gaps to be sealed. Standard bonded seals and self-centring bonded seals with an inner centring lip are available.

USIT rings are made as standard of galvanized steel with an NBR lip. However, USIT rings with an FPM lip, of stainless steel etc. can also be supplied. Standard USIT rings are suitable for mineral oils, water, air etc. The operating temperature range is -30 °C to +100°C.
