The O-ring is the most widely used type of seal because it requires little space and is very easy to install. With correct groove design and a suitable material, it performs its function reliably over the long term in both static and dynamic use within the temperature range permitted for the rubber material concerned.

FEP O-rings are O-rings made of standard FPM or MVQ materials coated with a PTFE surface. Compared to PTFE O-rings they partly lose chemical
and temperature resistance but gain elasticity.
